Registered dietitians play an important role in helping Albertans achieve their best nutritional health.
Working with individuals, families, groups and organizations, Nutrition Services dietitians provide nutrition counselling and expertise to help Albertans enjoy good health, prevent and manage chronic diseases, and recover from illness and surgery.
Dietitians provide services in many settings, including acute care and rehabilitation hospitals, home care, supportive living and continuing care facilities, outpatient clinics, public health centres and communities. Health Link also has registered dietitians available to answer nutrition questions. To learn more, view Health Link Dietitian Service. If you have a nutrition question, call 811 and ask to talk to a dietitian.
